The Harp Society of WA will host a workshop presented by fabulous harpist, Louise Bell. Louise is a performer, teacher, composer and Certified Therapeutic Harpist. Louise will join us from New South Wales via a projector screen and Zoom. Thank you, technology! If you live outside of Perth, but would like to join in, please email harpsocietywa@gmail.com.
A World of Improv with Louise Bell - we will explore:
· “Freedom within structure” meets “Safety in numbers” – beautiful improv, from mellow to uplifting, in simple accessible patterns, shared in a vibrant and supportive group setting.
· Together we’ll explore improvisations drawn from many cultures including Australian, Asian, European, North and South American.
· Modes: seven different moods within one Major scale. We’ll create evocative atmospheres with just 2 or 3 significant chords.
· The joy of 7th chords: how adding one more string opens gorgeous harmonies and so many improv colours.
· Please join us for these and other wondrous harp adventures!
